There is a lot confusion about the word "Infostructure" lately. Some emphasize the virtual properties, some the network capabilities. To me it's not a collection of assets but more what the gain is for the user. Therefore:

 “An infostructure navigates to, contains and transports all necessary information any time, any place, any device to run a business effectively”

Lean IT (based on the Toyota Production System TPS) is not really about standardization of processes alone. It's more about what standardiziation can deliver to people: more energy, time and money to focus on the real stuff that matters. In other words, Lean IT is about inspiring and motivating people for strategic goals, collaboration and continuous improvement.
